Sampha x Earl of East: Sensory Nectar
Created in collaboration with Sampha, Sensory Nectar translates the atmosphere of sound into scent; a candle developed as an extension of the world surrounding his album. Shaped through time spent together in the studio, the project explores how fragrance can influence mood, focus and ritual, transforming the emotional landscape of music into a grounded, atmospheric experience.
The Scent
SENSORY NECTAR
Developed over nearly two years and six iterations, this custom scent was created in close collaboration with Sampha to capture the atmosphere surrounding Lahai.
Earthy, atmospheric and gently warming, the fragrance reflects the record’s world: introspective yet expansive, intimate yet grounded. Bright notes of orange and juniper open into cypress, cade, cedarwood and woodsmoke, creating a scent rooted in memory, place and feeling.

THE SCENT SESSION
The candle was developed through a collaborative studio process, shaped by listening sessions, conversation and experimentation rather than a traditional fragrance brief. Over multiple rounds of testing and refinement, the scent gradually evolved to reflect the mood, atmosphere and emotional themes explored within Lahai.
The final fragrance blends cedarwood, cade, cypress and juniper, creating a smoky, woody profile that feels warm and expansive. The result is a scent that feels both earthy and atmospheric, designed to bring a sense of calm focus, warmth and ritual to everyday moments.
HANDMADE IN EAST LONDON
Handmade in our East London studio, this limited-edition candle was developed in close collaboration with Sampha to reflect the rituals that shape his creative process.
Each batch was hand-poured and blended in-house using fragrance and essential oils, allowing the scent to evolve slowly and intentionally, much like the music that inspired it. The result is a warm, smoky and expansive fragrance designed to create a sense of grounding, whether in the studio or at home.
